Buzzer and door entry systems.
A buzzer, or door entry system, lets someone inside unlock the door for a visitor at the push of a button. Lock Raven installs and repairs door entry systems for offices and multi-tenant buildings, and upgrades older buzzer panels to video intercoms or keycard entry when that makes more sense.
How a door entry system works
A visitor presses a button or calls a unit. Someone inside answers and presses a release, which powers an electric strike or releases a maglock so the door can be pushed open. When the door closes, it locks again.
Repair or upgrade
When the door will not release, the fault is often the strike, the power supply, or the wiring rather than the panel. We find the failed part before recommending replacement. If the system is old or parts are hard to find, a video intercom is usually the upgrade.

Buzzer and door entry: common questions.
Straight answers, without the upsell.
Our buzzer sounds but the door does not open. What is wrong?
Often the electric strike, its power supply, or the wiring has failed, or the strike is misaligned with the latch. We test each part to find the cause.
Can you add keycard entry to the same door?
Yes. A door can have both a door entry system for visitors and a card reader or keypad for staff or residents.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the hardware, the door, and the number of locks, so we price every job before any work starts. Call with the details, or send the quote form, and you will have a price before you commit to anything.
