High-security locks and key control for businesses.
High-security locks resist picking, bumping, and drilling, and they add key control: copies can only be made by an authorized locksmith with your permission. Lock Raven installs and services high-security cylinders from Medeco and Mul-T-Lock and interchangeable-core systems from Best for offices, retail, and any door where an unauthorized copy would be a problem.
What makes a lock high-security
- Pick and bump resistance from extra locking elements beyond a standard pin stack.
- Drill resistance from hardened inserts that protect the cylinder.
- Key control: patented or restricted keyways, so blanks are not sold at hardware stores.
Interchangeable cores
With an interchangeable core (IC) system such as Best, the core that holds the pins can be pulled with a control key and replaced in seconds. For buildings with frequent tenant or staff changes, that turns a rekey into a quick swap.

High-security locks: common questions.
Straight answers, without the upsell.
Can high-security cylinders fit our existing locks?
Often, yes. Many high-security cylinders retrofit into existing commercial locksets and exit devices, so the whole lock does not have to be replaced. We check the hardware first.
Which brands do you install?
Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, and Best interchangeable cores, along with commercial locksets from ASSA ABLOY, Sargent, Corbin Russwin, Schlage, and Yale.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the hardware, the door, and the number of locks, so we price every job before any work starts. Call with the details, or send the quote form, and you will have a price before you commit to anything.
