Push-to-start smart keys and proximity fobs.
A push-to-start smart key, or proximity fob, lets the car detect the key nearby so you can unlock and start without inserting it. Lock Raven programs replacement and spare smart keys on site for most makes, including all-keys-lost on many vehicles, and confirms by year, model, and VIN before heading out.

Spare versus all keys lost
Adding a smart key while you still have a working one is usually the simpler job. With every smart key lost, the car's security system has to be accessed to enroll a new key, which takes longer and, on some newer vehicles, needs dealer-level authorization and software. We have both for most makes.
Emergency key blades
Most smart keys hide a mechanical blade for the door. We cut that blade too, so you can still get in if the fob battery dies.

Straight answers, without the upsell.
Can a smart key be programmed on site?
On most vehicles, yes, including many newer European models, using dealer authorization and dealer software. We confirm by VIN first.
What if the fob battery dies?
Use the hidden mechanical key to open the door. Many cars also let you start by holding the fob against the start button or in a marked spot. Check your owner manual.
How much will it cost?
