Storefront and glass-door locks.
Aluminum storefront doors use narrow-stile locks, most often Adams Rite deadlocks and latches, that are different from the locks on a standard door. Lock Raven repairs, rekeys, and replaces storefront locks and cylinders, and fits electric strikes or other access hardware to glass entrances.
Common storefront problems
- A deadbolt that will not throw fully, often from a misaligned door or worn strike.
- A key that turns but does not lock, usually a worn cam or cylinder.
- A broken or loose paddle or push handle.
- Needing to rekey after an employee leaves.
Upgrades for glass entrances
Storefronts are a common place to add access control, a video intercom, or a maglock, because the main entrance is the door used most. See mag locks and electric strikes for how the options differ.

Storefront and glass-door locks: common questions.
Straight answers, without the upsell.
Can you rekey a storefront lock?
Yes. Storefront mortise cylinders can be rekeyed like other cylinders, and keyed to match your other doors if the keyway allows.
Can access control be added to a glass door?
Usually, with the right hardware for the door and frame. Electric strikes, electrified latches, and maglocks are all options depending on the door.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the hardware, the door, and the number of locks, so we price every job before any work starts. Call with the details, or send the quote form, and you will have a price before you commit to anything.
